POCKET ARBORIST PRIVACY POLICY

Four Roots Co. LLC, doing business as Pocket Arborist (“Pocket Arborist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the Pocket Arborist mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “App”).
By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect the following categories of information.
ACCOUNT AND CONTACT INFORMATION
When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as:
• Name;
• Email address;
• Telephone number;
• Street or property address;
• City, state, and ZIP code;
• Login and account information;
• Contractor code or contractor association; and
• Other information you provide through your account.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
We may collect photographs and other content you submit through the App, including:
• Photographs of trees, shrubs, lawns, plants, landscapes, and property conditions;
• Notes, comments, questions, and symptom information;
• Service-request descriptions;
• Property or site information; and
• Other information you choose to submit.
Photographs may contain additional information or background details that you did not intend to submit. You should review photographs before uploading them and avoid including people, license plates, documents, neighboring property, or other unnecessary personal information.
LOCATION AND PROPERTY INFORMATION
The App may collect or use location-related information, including:
• Property addresses;
• ZIP codes;
• Approximate geographic location;
• Device location, when permission is provided;
• Latitude and longitude associated with a submission; and
• Geographic information inferred from an address or submission.
Location information may be used to associate a submission with a property, identify the appropriate contractor, evaluate geographic and seasonal conditions, provide localized information, and route service requests.
You may control device-location permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work as intended if location access is disabled.
DIAGNOSTIC AND SERVICE-REQUEST INFORMATION
We may collect information generated through use of the App, including:
• AI-assisted diagnostic results;
• Possible plant, pest, disease, lawn, or environmental conditions;
• Species estimates;
• Detected symptoms;
• Confidence information;
• Suggested next steps;
• Dates and locations of diagnostic activity;
• Service-request type and status;
• Photographs and comments included with a request; and
• Communications or follow-up information relating to a request.
DEVICE, TECHNICAL, AND USAGE INFORMATION
We may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
• Device type and operating system;
• App version;
• Internet Protocol address;
• Dates and times of access;
• Feature usage and navigation activity;
• Diagnostic processing information;
• Error, crash, and performance information;
• System logs;
• Search or submission counts; and
• Security and fraud-prevention information.
COMMUNICATIONS
If you contact Pocket Arborist, we may collect your email address, the contents of your message, attachments, and other information you provide.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use collected information to:
• Create and manage user accounts;
• Operate, maintain, secure, and support the App;
• Process photographs and other submissions;
• Generate AI-assisted diagnostic information;
• Provide localized, seasonal, weather-related, or geographic information;
• Associate users with participating contractors;
• Route service requests to the appropriate contractor;
• Communicate about accounts, submissions, requests, support, or App changes;
• Send service-related alerts and push notifications;
• Troubleshoot errors and improve system performance;
• Monitor usage, reliability, and security;
• Improve diagnostic accuracy, datasets, workflows, and App features;
• Analyze plant-health, pest, disease, lawn, seasonal, and geographic trends;
• Create aggregated or de-identified statistics and reports;
• Prevent misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or unlawful activity;
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions;
• Comply with legal obligations; and
• Protect the rights, safety, and property of Pocket Arborist, users, contractors, and others.
AI-ASSISTED PROCESSING
Pocket Arborist uses artificial intelligence and other automated technologies to help analyze photographs and user-provided information.
Photographs, symptom information, geographic or seasonal context, and related diagnostic information may be processed by third-party artificial-intelligence, cloud-infrastructure, and technology service providers to produce and support App results.
AI-generated results may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as a substitute for an on-site inspection or professional judgment.
Information from diagnostic activity may also be used to evaluate, test, and improve the App’s diagnostic systems, datasets, and performance.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
PARTICIPATING CONTRACTORS
If your account is connected to a participating contractor, or if you submit a request for professional assistance, we may share relevant information with that contractor, including:
• Your name and contact information;
• Property address and location information;
• Photographs;
• Diagnostic information;
• Requested service;
• Notes and comments; and
• Other information relevant to the submission or service request.
The contractor may use this information to review your concern, contact you, evaluate the property, prepare an estimate, schedule an inspection, or provide requested services.
Participating contractors are independent businesses. Their handling of information after receiving it may also be governed by their own privacy practices and legal obligations.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may share information with companies that provide services supporting the App, including:
• Cloud hosting and data storage;
• Artificial-intelligence and image-processing services;
• Email and communication delivery;
• App analytics and performance monitoring;
• Error and crash reporting;
• Mapping, location, or weather services;
• Security and fraud prevention; and
• Technical support and software development.
These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Pocket Arborist or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
LEGAL, SAFETY, AND COMPLIANCE PURPOSES
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, subpoenas, or legal processes;
• Respond to lawful government requests;
• Investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse;
• Enforce our agreements and policies;
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Pocket Arborist, our users, contractors, or others; or
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
BUSINESS TRANSFERS
If Pocket Arborist or Four Roots Co. LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
AGGREGATED OR DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION
We may use and disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to a particular individual. This may include reports concerning diagnostic activity, service requests, geographic trends, pest or disease activity, App performance, or feature usage.
SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND TARGETED ADVERTISING
Pocket Arborist does not sell personal information for money.
Pocket Arborist does not use or disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or choices required by applicable law.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND CONTENT OWNERSHIP
As between you and Pocket Arborist, you retain any ownership rights you have in photographs and other original content you submit.
You give Pocket Arborist permission to host, store, process, analyze, reproduce, and use submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the App and provide requested services, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
The App is not a photograph-storage or backup service. You are responsible for keeping copies of photographs or content you wish to preserve. Pocket Arborist does not guarantee that submitted content will remain available for viewing, downloading, or retrieval.
DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
• Provide and operate the App;
• Maintain user accounts;
• Process diagnostic activity and service requests;
• Support contractors and users;
• Improve and secure the App;
• Maintain business and transaction records;
• Resolve disputes;
• Enforce agreements; and
• Comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
After information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or de-identified. Limited information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained when required or permitted for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or other legitimate business purposes.
ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
You may delete your Pocket Arborist account through the App.
Deleting an account initiates deletion of account information and associated personal information, subject to reasonable processing time and any limited retention permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backup management, or other legitimate business purposes.
Information already sent to a participating contractor may remain in that contractor’s business systems and records. Requests concerning information held by a contractor may need to be directed to that contractor.

YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request:
• Access to personal information we maintain about you;
• Correction of inaccurate personal information;
• Deletion of personal information;
• A copy of certain personal information;
• Information about how personal information is used or disclosed; or
• Review of a decision concerning a privacy request.
To make a privacy request, email pocketarborist@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction, and certain exceptions may apply. We will respond as required by applicable law.
You may also:
• Update certain account information through the App;
• Delete your account through the App;
• Control device-location, camera, photograph, and notification permissions through your device settings;
• Decline to submit a service request; and
• Stop using the App.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS
If you enable push notifications, Pocket Arborist or your participating contractor may send service-related messages, seasonal information, plant-health alerts, pest or disease activity notices, and other App communications.
You may disable push notifications through your device settings.
We may still send important account, security, legal, or service-related communications when appropriate.
WEBSITE TECHNOLOGIES
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to operate the website, remember settings, understand basic usage, maintain security, or improve performance.
You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functions.
DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no internet transmission, mobile application, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and should notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Pocket Arborist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that personal information was collected from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact pocketarborist@gmail.com.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The App or website may contain links to contractor websites, app stores, mapping services, or other third-party services.
Pocket Arborist does not control the privacy, security, or content practices of independent third parties. You should review their privacy policies before providing information directly to them.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revised policy will be posted through the App or associated website with a new effective date.
We may provide additional notice or request consent when a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, or when required by applicable law.
